Body Psychotherapy has been stuck in the past when it comes to training and development, with the foundational Neo-Reichian concepts still leading the bulk of available education in the UK. Since Reich’s principles were laid down in the 1930’s our understanding of neuroscience, phenomenology, and psychology has expanded, and Body Psychotherapy must not get left behind.
Join me and my colleagues as we traverse the complicated landscape of “medically unexplained symptoms” and look at what our nervous systems do to keep us safe, but ultimately dysfunctional.
